These pages are absolutely tremendous! This is MUST reading for anyone wanting to understand the ups and downs of socialist and communist thought in the 20th Century and now the 21st Century.
I’m impressed with Nicholas’s determination to beat the Nazis and fascism. And I’m impressed with his father’s determination to see a better future in that part of the world.
Many Americans, not just Ukrainian-Americans, would be fascinated to read this. Many veterans, too. I’d like this book to be read by present day veterans against war.
Nicholas is a natural, a life-long story teller; his unorthodox style is part of his appeal. It’s a real page-turner. You won’t be able to put it down.
